Why does my job say Pending?

A Pending job is in quick review and goes live on boards once it is approved.

Right after you post a job, its status pill on the Jobs page shows Pending. This means the job is in a quick review before it goes out to the job boards.

During this review we check that the post meets our guidelines and is set up well for the job boards. If anything needs a small change before it goes live, someone from our team will reach out to you.

Note: Reviews happen during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm ET). A job posted outside those hours is reviewed the next business day, and one posted over the weekend is reviewed on the next business day. Most jobs clear this quick review within 24 hours.

Once it is approved

When the review is done, the status changes to Active and the job starts going out to the boards. Each board picks up new jobs on its own schedule, so it can take a little time to appear on every board. Typically you will see your job live across the boards within a couple of days of it going Active.
