Start Here: Reviewing Applicants and Your Pipeline

How applicants reach you, how to read the Ava Score, and how to move people to a hire.

Applicants reach AvaHR when candidates apply to your jobs, when you add someone with Add Candidate, or when a candidate applies by text (they show a "Via SMS" badge). Every candidate sits in a job's pipeline and moves through its stages until they are hired or rejected. Candidates not tied to any job live in the Talent Pool.

The Candidates list

Open Candidates. Filter with the status tabs (All, New, Interviewing, Offer, Hired, Rejected), the Stage, Source, and Location filters, or save a combination as a Saved View. Each row shows the candidate, their stage, their Ava Score, a star rating, and when they applied. Select several rows to email, tag, move, or disqualify them in bulk.

The Ava Score

The Ava Score is Ava's match confidence for how well a candidate fits the role, based on skills, experience, and culture alignment. It appears in the list, as the ring around each avatar, and on the profile as "Ava, your second opinion" with reasoning, Strengths, and Risks. Treat it as a second opinion to help you prioritize, not an automatic decision.

The candidate profile

Open a candidate to see their profile with tabs for Overview, Messages, Interviews, Evaluations, Notes, Files, and Activity. The right Workspace panel holds your decision tools: move to the next stage, send an offer, or reject.

Moving candidates through stages

Change a stage from the progress chip by the candidate's name, the Move to next stage button, or bulk Move stage in the list. Moving someone into a stage can automatically send an email, a text, a questionnaire, or request a scorecard from your team, if those automations are set on the stage.

Making a decision

Rate and tag candidates, add notes (mention a teammate with @), schedule interviews, and record scorecards. When you reject someone, pick a reason (required for EEOC reporting). When you are ready, use Send offer, or move them to Hired.
